Chart of Accounts
REALedger comes with a complete chart of accounts, however, you may wish to add, delete or modify accounts to fit your organization’s financial reporting requirements. The chart of accounts is used extensively throughout all modules of the system. It is recommended that you not make changes to the chart without a complete understanding of the implications.
Adding an account
Select the account and select Add
Select the appropriate Account sub-type from the drop down list
Select the appropriate Account Lookup Category from the drop down list
Enter an Account description
Enter the General Ledger (G/L) code for the new account (up to five numeric characters)
Deleting an account
Locate the account to by scrolling through the list or typing the name of the account or G/L Code in the Filter
The detailed account information will show in the Chart of Accounts box
Select Delete within the account menu
